Province of Mugla

Location

The  province of Mugla is situated in the southeast of Turkey. Although not the largest of all provinces it has the longest coastline of them all.

Some of the famous touristic places of Turkey like Fethiye, Marmaris, Bodrum, Dalyan belong to this province.

One part of the coastline, stretching from the Bodrum peninsula to the Bozburun peninsula

Faces the Aegean Sea, the one from Datca to Fethiye the Mediteranean Sea.

Friends of the Antique will be fascinated by the numerous historical sites, in fact more than 120, starting from the castles in Bodrum and Marmaris, to the mausoleum (grave site) of the king Mausolos in Bodrum (belonging to the 7 wonders of the world, next to the Artemis temple of Ephesus), to the island of Sedir which is commonly called the island of Kleopatra to the rock graves of Telmessos.

For friends of nature the province of Mugla also has a lot to offer with its various national parks and nature resorts. Splendid waterfalls close to Fethiye, Koycegiz and Marmaris as well as the alley of Eucalyptus trees in Gokova invite you to enjoy.

Fans of sun and sea have numerous possibilities to find peaceful beaches far away from the usual touristic places. Various boat trips are another impressive way of exploring the coast region.

Numerous sports and outdoor activities are offered like windsurfing, paragliding, mountain climbing as well as hikes in different nature resorts.
